About Ecomsync

What is Ecomsync?

Ecomsync is an AI agent that manages a Shopify store's product catalogue. You ask for the work in plain language, it stages every change field by field with the old and new value, and nothing reaches Shopify until you approve. Every run can be undone in one click.

Who is Ecomsync for?

Shopify merchants whose catalogue has outgrown doing it by hand, typically 50 to 1,000 products, and agencies that run several client stores. It is built for stores where titles, SEO fields, descriptions and collections keep falling behind.

What can I ask Ecomsync to do?

Catalogue work you would otherwise do product by product. For example: rewrite every title to your naming convention, write meta descriptions for products that have none, add alt text to images, move all knitwear into the Winter collection, set compare-at prices for a sale, or update stock at one location from a count.

How is Ecomsync different from Shopify Magic or Sidekick?

Sidekick is Shopify's built-in assistant, and it now does what Shopify Magic did, such as drafting a product description. It works inside the admin and shows its edits for you to save. Ecomsync is built for catalogue jobs across hundreds of products: one request stages every change field by field, your price limits and protected products are enforced in code, and a whole run can be reversed in one click for days afterwards.

How is it different from Shopify's bulk editor or a CSV import?

Shopify's bulk editor and a CSV import change exactly what you type, with no undo. Ecomsync works out the changes from a plain-language request, reads each product first, shows you the old and new value of every field, and records every field before writing so the run can be reversed.

Is Ecomsync in the Shopify App Store?

No. You connect your store by creating a custom app in your Shopify Dev Dashboard and pasting its details into Ecomsync. It takes about ten minutes, once, and you choose exactly which permissions it gets.

Does it work in my language and currency?

Yes. Ecomsync reads your store's languages, currency and units from Shopify. The agent writes in the language your store publishes in, and prices stay in your store's currency.

Who makes Ecomsync?

Fortuni LLC, a United States company registered in Missouri. Write to hello@ecomsync.ai with any question.

How it works

Does Ecomsync change my store without asking?

Not in the default mode. Every change is staged in a review list and nothing is written to Shopify until a person approves it. You can deselect or edit any change first. A store can be switched to an automatic mode, and only then are the changes that mode allows written without review.

Can I undo a change after it is applied?

Yes. Ecomsync records every field before it writes, and one click restores the whole run. The undo window is 3 days on Essential, 7 on Growth and 14 on Pro. The history of every run stays for 90 days.

What can Ecomsync change in Shopify?

Titles, descriptions, tags, collections, SEO titles and meta descriptions, image alt text, metafields, prices, compare-at prices, stock levels, variants and options. Creating, archiving and deleting products is off by default and needs typed confirmation to turn on.

What is the catalogue health score?

A daily score out of 100 that measures SEO completeness, descriptions, imagery and alt text, metafields and data quality across your catalogue. Each gap is named product by product, with a button to ask Ecomsync to fix it.

How does Ecomsync write in my brand's voice?

You set a style profile once: tone, language, units, whether the brand goes in titles, brand terms to keep exactly as written and words to avoid. Every title and description it writes follows it.

What are guardrails?

Rules the agent cannot break. Protected products are skipped, prices cannot move more than the cap you set or fall below your floor, and large runs ask you to type the store name before they apply. They are enforced in code, not left to the AI.

Does Ecomsync run on a schedule?

Not yet. Every run is asked for and approved by a person. Scheduled jobs are planned for Growth and Pro.

Setup and safety

How do I connect my Shopify store?

Create a custom app in your Shopify Dev Dashboard, select the 13 permissions Ecomsync lists for products, inventory, files, publications, content and translations, and paste the app's details into Ecomsync. Seven steps, four of them in Shopify, about ten minutes.

Can Ecomsync see my customers or orders?

No. It never asks for customer or order permissions, and it refuses any request touching customers, orders, addresses, checkouts, refunds, fulfilments, discounts or gift cards before anything is sent to Shopify, even if your store granted those permissions.

Where is my data stored?

In the EU, region eu-west-1: your account, the copy of your catalogue, change records and your encrypted store credentials. Payments run through Stripe.

Does the AI see my Shopify credentials?

No. Credentials are encrypted on arrival and used only by the part of Ecomsync that talks to Shopify. The AI model, from Anthropic, receives your request and the catalogue data the request needs, never credentials.

How do I disconnect Ecomsync?

Uninstall the custom app in Shopify, or remove the store in Ecomsync. Access stops immediately.

Pricing and billing

How much does Ecomsync cost?

Essential is $14 a month for up to 50 products, Growth $39 a month for up to 250, and Pro $89 a month for up to 1,000 products and 3 stores. Yearly billing saves 20 percent. Every plan starts with three days free.

What counts as a change?

One field written to one product, variant or collection. A title, description and SEO rewrite on one product counts as one. Previews, rejections, failed writes and undo are free.

Is there a free plan?

No. Every plan starts with three days free. You add a card at checkout, and you pay nothing if you cancel before the trial ends.

Why does setup take ten minutes instead of one click?

Ecomsync is not in the App Store. You create a custom app in Shopify, select the permissions Ecomsync lists and paste the details in. Once.

What happens when I use all my changes?

On Growth and Pro you buy a pack, and packs never expire. On Essential, running out means the store has outgrown the plan.

Can I undo something after the undo window?

The history stays visible for 90 days. One-click reversal is what expires with the window.

Does it run on a schedule or by itself?

Not yet. Every change is asked for and approved by a person. Scheduled jobs are planned for Growth and Pro.

I have more than 1,000 products, or I run client stores.

Tell us what you run and we will price it. Agencies get one allowance across every store, client workspaces and white-label reports.

Can I cancel?

Any time, from the billing page. The changes you approved stay as they are.
