Who it is for

Ecomsync for fashion and apparel stores on Shopify

How do I manage a large fashion catalogue on Shopify without doing it by hand?

The short answer

Fashion catalogues multiply: every style comes in colourways and sizes, often as separate products, and every season moves them between collections. Ecomsync handles that in plain-language requests, such as renaming every colourway to one convention, moving all knitwear into Winter or setting compare-at prices for a sale, and shows each product with its photo before anything is written.

What to ask for

Type the job the way you would say it. These are real requests, word for word.

  • Rename every product to: style name, then colour.
  • Put every sweater and cardigan in the Winter collection.
  • Set compare-at prices for everything in Sale, 20 percent above the current price.
  • Add size XXL to the Heavyweight Tee in every colour.

Each request becomes a list of changes, product by product, with the current value beside the new one. Nothing reaches Shopify until you approve it.

The fashion catalogue problem

One sweater in eight colours is eight products, or one product with eight variants, each with its own title, images, alt text and SEO fields. Multiply by a range and a season, and the catalogue drifts: inconsistent names, colourways missing from collections, images without alt text, sale badges that never came off.

Ecomsync reviews by product, with each product's photo, so forty colourways of one sweater still read as forty different products and nothing gets lost in a spreadsheet.

What it does for apparel catalogues

  • Titles to one convention across every colourway.
  • Seasonal collections: add or remove whole categories in one request, with protected products skipped.
  • Sizes and variants: add an option value or a variant across a style, priced and with a SKU.
  • Sale prices: compare-at prices by a rule, inside the price limits you set, and cleared again when the sale ends.
  • Alt text and SEO fields for every colourway, each one different.
  • Descriptions grounded in the product's own data, with fabric and care details only where your data or the maker's page states them.

Questions

Does Ecomsync work with colourways set up as separate products?

Yes. It reads each product and works out the style and colour from its own data, so a naming convention or a collection change applies to every colourway, whether they are separate products or variants.

Will it make up fabric or care details?

No. It writes only what the product's data or a source page it read supports, and anything it could not confirm is flagged in the review list for you to check.
